Comedy is Back in New York City! - Comedians On The Loose! Or at least comedy and live events are back indoors. After a wild summer, fall, and winter of wacky outdoor comedy shows in which comedians performed on rooftops, in backyards, and in front cars, trains, airports, in the middle of storms, and other crazy scenarios, comics and fans can now celebrate the return of indoor shows. No more performing in front of a person taking a dump four feet, and no more heckling from cars. I bet the performers are happy about that. Zoom shows were a huge thing during the shutdown of live indoor events, I personally did not appreciate zoom shows because the energy is just too different from being in a room filled with other people enjoying or hating the comedian on the stage. I know some comics and fans enjoyed the zoom shows, and I'm sure there is a place for them, but who are we kidding, nothing replaces a live show!
King Cuomo and Mayor De Blasio are still creating pointless loopholes to keep New York City businesses in a bind but I am glad to see they loosened the stranglehold on the city even if it's just a tiny bit.
So my message to those of you in New York City is simple: Go outside again, meet new people, enjoy life in the big city. You're paying too much money to just stay inside and die from lack of socialization and vitamin D aka the SUN! It's crazy to me that people are so open and willing to have unprotected sex and do drugs with strangers but wont take the OPPORTUNITY to have conversations and debates with people outside of the usual circle of friends.
Go catch some laughs and enjoy a comedy show you animals!
