A FreeWrite is when you use a prompt, which could be a word, a sentence or a picture; hit the 5-minute timer, and just go for it. No overthinking, no judging, just write or type away until the timer goes off. I do then, fix it to make sense of the gibberish that flows out. I hope you enjoy this which will be the first part of a series of prompts I will pick up as I go along to see where the story goes.

This story dabbles with magic, mystery and the other world. Sulene has just been handed the family heirloom, which she hates and wants to have no part of. But there's more to the story then it just being "ugly".
