And now the full lenght video of my latest abandoned mine exploration. No need to go to ride Big Thunder Mountain at Disneyland when one can ride a real mine timber cart. I didn't have to pay admission and I didn't have to stand in line. No FastPass necessary. Of course, I climbed down (and later back up) over 700 feet (213 m) of ladders in order to get here. It's amazing that this cart still rolls with ease - the bearings on the wheels must be in great shape! This isn't an ore cart - as some would would think - it's actually a timber car.

This mine is in California and provided lead, copper, and zinc. It was in operation from the early to mid 1900's. In order to protect this location from looting and vandalism, I will not be providing the name or location of this mine.
