Learn how to make Delicious & Crispy Fingers. Chicken Fingers is a wonderful Party Starter Recipe/Appetizer Recipe which is Deliciously Crunchy from Outside and Cheesy from inside. It goes brilliantly with Mayonnaise, Cheesy Dips, Tomato Sauce. Chicken Fingers recipe is kids all time favorite Chicken fingers, which is also known as chicken tenders, chicken goujons, chicken strips or chicken fillets. Can you believe when I was young I actually thought chicken fingers were the fingers of a chicken? Well I did, which is why I would never eat them when they were served in my school for lunch. When I got old enough to realize they weren't actually chicken fingers and that it was just a name they were given, I gave them a shot and have enjoyed munching on them every since. Chicken fingers are very popular in Pakistan and India, which is where I was raised and currently lived! There are many and fast food stores on pretty much every other corner in Philly.....and almost all of them have chicken fingers on their platter menu. Chicken fingers aka tenders, are often served with french fries, cole slaw, and honey mustard but you can also find them at your local supermarket in the frozen dinner section. They're usually sold in bunches, 35 to 40 pre-cooked fingers in a bag. All ya got to do is heat up some oil and fry them for 8 to 9 minutes. They are often served at holiday or cocktail parties and in hospitals as finger food for patients who can't use eating utensils. They are also the perfect finger food lunch for children.... kids looooove chicken fingers. The next time you have a gathering or get together and decide to cook some simple finger food, give these chicken fingers aka tenders a try... they are easy to make, really good, and can be eaten with just about anything. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
(Serves 2)
- 250 gms Chicken Breast(boneless)
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper Powder
- 1/4 tsp Cumin Seed Powder
- 1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 cup Processed Cheese(grated)
- Oil
Ingredients for Coating:
- 1 cup All Purpose Flour
- Black pepper Powder
- Salt
- Bread Crumbs
- 2 Eggs(whisked)
Method:
- Take chicken pieces and grind it in a grinder
- Take it out in a bowl and add black pepper powder, cumin seed powder, garlic powder, red chilli powder, salt
- Mix it all together and add grated processed cheese to the bowl
- Take small portions of chicken and give them all a finger shape
- Now, take all purpose flour and bread crumbs
- Add some salt and black pepper Powder to the bread crumbs and mix it
- Now, take the finger shaped chicken pieces and first add it too the all purpose flour & whisked eggs, and then add it to the bread crumbs
- Do the same with rest of the chicken pieces and keep it in refigerator for an hour
- Now, in hot oil add these finger shaped chicken pieces; fry it on all the sides till they turn golden brown in color
- Once fried, take it out in a plate and palce it over a paper towel, to drain out all the excess oil
