It is a day 8 in total lockdown here in Spain, and if you are watching my videos to the end, we are all a bit going crazy... lol... It looks like an easy thing to stay at home for a week, but in reality, it isn't... Even if you are a lazy bastard... :)
Censorship has arrived at the STEEM blockchain, and as tribes are there, it probably includes them... I'm hoping that there will be a solution to transfer tribes to the HIVE blockchain, as STEEM is totally unreliable at the moment... and I don't see that it will be fixed soon... Fake witnesses can't help in the stability of a chain, and tribes are suffering the most...
What do you think? Will we see tribes on HIVE in the near future? Hive-engine with all our favorite tokens, also? I know that there was a statement that tokens will stay on the STEEM blockchain, but maybe we can change the opinion of the S-E stuff?
Take care, ~ph~
Recipe for keeping Coronavirus away...
- Wash your hands more regularly, and a minimum of 20 seconds
- Avoid touching your face, mouth or nose,
- Keep distance when you are on the street (if you are not in a lockdown),
- Stay home if possible
- Wear masks if you have symptoms

My greetings from one locked down to another ;-). In Switzerland we are a bit less restricted than in Spain it seems. We are staying indoors and with two kids, things get sometimes a bit out of hand ;-). We manage however. Since I had to close my offline business, I have a lot of time to spend on steem/hive and to do homeschooling with my kids.
As @gadrian correctly said, it seems that steem-engine will be reproduced from scratch on hive. If this will generate additional costs, I feel very sorry for the people who created tokens on steem-engine.
I don't see any future on steem. With the new TOS, that forbid to promote third websites seems quite a strech. This means you can't put any external links at all. Not the best solution for people who want to promote affiliate offers...

Well, I'd like to add here that the new ToS is only for Steemit front-end. So Steempeak is a good frontend to take advantage of, in case you like to use Steem blockchain. But overtime, I feel that tribes will have to move to Hive if they really care ...in spite of the additional cost demanded by @aggroed and his team. (He will lose a lot of fan following just because of that!).

Totally agree with you... There are other frontends, and JS is shooting in his own foot... The things will change a lot on the STEEM, and I have some feeling that JS will leave the chain... maybe not soon, but in a year or two probably...
Maybe we will come back to STEEM and continue where we have stopped :)
And, also agree about S-E and additional costs... I think that it's not fair to token owners to pay double...

I hear you there... lol... My next post was exactly about that problem... :)
And the new Steemit TOS sucks... But as @xyzashu said, there are other frontends...

From what I understood from aggroed they are creating a Hive version of SE, earliest in April. S-E will remain in place as well as people's holdings on it. Tribes will be able to migrate on Hive after that.
I also saw eonwarped -- I think -- saying he is working to upgrade ScotBot to support both Steem and Hive, for distribution of rewards.
P.S. Covid-19 will change many people's lives. Looks like we're following closely with the measures from the western countries, but we're in an earlier stage of the pandemic. For now they are only recommendations during the day, not a full lockdown, but it may come to that, and many businesses are closed. Doctors say we should treat it as mandatory, not as recommendation.

@jongolson mentioned that S-E "migration" will cost additional money for those who want to switch to hive version, and that sucks... if that would be a case...
ScotBot to support both Steem and Hive is a must and I hope that they will integrate that ASAP...
And regarding Coronavirus... I don't know what to say... You see from my post the situation here...
Stay safe and keep the distance from the crowd!

Yeah, not the best solution they came up with so far, from what I read too.
