Creating goals and tracking them is one of the most important things on your business journey... They are important for numerous reasons, but one of the crucial ones is a future motivation for pushing forward... On one side, you have to create achievable goals, but, on the other side, they have to be a bit more than you expect, just to push you more and keep you "uncomfortable".
One of the goals on the social network blockchains is reaching a certain amount of the followers in the specific timeframe... For example, I have put a goal to reach 250-300 followers on the Hive blockchain at the end of this year. At the end of 2019, I had around 130 on the old blockchain, so the next goal is doing a bit more than I have done in the past year... I didn't want to put too high my goal, as follower number is a bit strange here on Hive... I have easily reached the first 100, but after that, the numbers went very slow... In the first 2-3 months of this year, it was the same...
So, why was that happening?
After noticing that the numbers don't go up as I would like, I have started to track my engagement on the chain, and discover some interesting things... The secret of the fast-growing base on the beginning is plugging in the community... When you come to the community and start with daily content creation, people see that and start to follow you... After some time, you have almost everyone person from the community in your follower base, and you stop to grow, or slow down...
What can I do?
Well, as always, you have to step out of your comfort zone (in this case, your community, or your "safe oasis"), and comment on the posts of the people from other communities, or plug into other community also! That will bring some fresh blood into your followers base...
Anything else?
Yes, thanks for asking.... :) You have to show your dedication to the platform by investing in it... You can invest your time, your knowledge, experience, or money... Those things are easily visible on the blockchain and people tend to follow the people who have a higher stake in the community...
Something more?
Yes, check out the video... :)
Thank you for your valuable time,
~ph~

Dear @ph1102
One of those posts, which surely are worth checking out and reading through.
It's hard not to agree with it. I wish more people would appreciate value of creating and pursuing goals.
Question is:
Building strong follower-base is just like trying to get bigger in the gym. We start with building body mass and then we're shaping it.
Same here: first we need to build many contacts and then decide which relationships are valuable for us. We can't commit to keeping in touch with more than we can handle. Let's not bite more than we can chew :)
ps. I spoke to @Achim03 today and he was so excited while talking about you. Hopefully we can see "more of you" within project.hope community :)
Upvoted already :)
Yours, Piotr

Commenting is definitely vital for growth as bloggers and content creators. Followers will not come by magic, you have to look for them. We have to sell ourselves. Interact, reach out to people. Make noise and a pleasant noise.
