Afghan turmoil | Kabul airport shut for whole day amid soaring numbers of would-be evacuees

As Afghanistan enters its second week under Taliban control, the only way out of the country, Kabul airport, was closed for the whole of Sunday and will remain shut for another 24 hours. Meanwhile, at least 20 people were killed in crushes and stampedes at the airport.
