I decided to tune my cigar box guitar back to Mongolian tuning. It is an open tuning of f - b flat - f. I typically have it tuned to gdg so this tuning drops the tone deeper with more resonant overtones as the strings wobble a bit more with less tension.
Mongolia has a similar shaped instrument called the tovshuur that is often shaped like a box similar to the morin khuur. I will definitely have to add some percussion and strings to this improvisation. Thanks for listening :-)
