- "Elisha replied, "Listen to this message from the LORD! This is what the LORD says: BY THIS TIME TOMORROW IN THE MARKETS OF SAMARIA, FIVE QUARTS OF CHOICE FLOUR WILL COST ONLY ONE PIECE OF SILVER, AND TEN QUARTS OF BARLEY GRAIN WILL COST ONLY ONE PIECE OF SILVER."
- The officer assisting the King said to the man of God, "THAT COULDN'T HAPPEN EVEN IF THE LORD OPENED THE WINDOWS OF HEAVEN!"
But Elisha replied, "YOU WILL SEE IT HAPPEN WITH YOUR OWN EYES, BUT YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO EAT ANY OF IT!"
2 King 7:1,2 (NLT)
• Do not despise the Word of God, either the written Word Or the Word spoken through the mouth of God's anointed servants.
EVEN if you find it difficult to believe what has been spoken, do not cast aspersions on whatever is said in the name of the LORD.
- The adviser to the King of Israel on economy said what the prophet of God, Elisha, had spoken in the name of the LORD would not come to pass.
UNBELIEF and doubt will rob you of blessings and miracles. - Some in our time also believe there is nothing like miracles, the time of miracles has passed.
SUCH do not believe in healings, baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, they said God has given us the Bible, thus prophecies have ceased, that there are no Prophets again in our contemporary time.
THERE is no place where the Bible says All these things will cease.
THE Scripture which they interpreted wrongly is:
- "Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, THEY WILL FAIL; whether there are tongues, THEY WILL CEASE; whether there is knowledge, IT WILL VANISH AWAY.
- For we know in part and we prophesy in part.
- BUT WHEN THAT WHICH IS PERFECT [complete] HAS COME, then that which is in part will be done away."
1 Corinthians 13:8-10 (NKJV)
- The passage of the Bible is talking mainly about Love, the characteristics of it, and the importance.
- Apostle PAUL who is the writer of the BOOK was saying: one may have the gift of prophecy, and may be speaking in tongues, and have the knowledge of the Word of God; THAT without love one IS NOTHING (1 Corinthians 13:2).
THAT a time is coming when we will not need any of the gifts of the Spirit again, we will not need to speak with tongues again, and we will also not need any revelation knowledge AGAIN; And that would be when we have left this world—after Jesus might have come to take the saints: "But when that which is perfect [complete] has come, then that which is in part be done away" (1 Corinthians 13:10).
OF course we will not need tongues in heaven, there would not be need for prophecies by then, and there would not be need for knowledge of the Word again, because everything would be bare Or plain to us, nothing would be hidden.
"For now we see in a mirror, dimly, BUT THEN FACE TO FACE. Now I know in part, BUT THEN I SHALL KNOW JUST AS I ALSO AM KNOWN."
1 Corinthians 13:12 (NKJV)
WOULD you still need revelation knowledge of God when you get to heaven, since we will be with Him.
IN the passage Apostle Paul was not talking about this present time at all!
• Back to what is being talked ABOUT:
WHAT the Man, king's adviser, said spelt doom for him: The man of God, Elisha, said he would see it happen with his own eyes but WOULD not eat any of it.
AND it actually happened the way Elisha had predicted it.
THE man was stampeded to death in the process of coordinating People, when they discovered the surplus (1 Kings 7:17-20).
"Now the King had appointed the officer on whose hand he leaned to have charge of the gate. BUT PEOPLE TRAMPLED HIM IN THE GATE, AND HE DIED, JUST AS THE MAN OF GOD HAD SAID, who spoke when the King came down to him."
2 Kings 7:17 (NKJV)
• Prophets are AGENTS OF GOD for blessings.
WHEN a genuine Man of God pronounces a blessing, do not despise it Or doubt it.
BLESSINGS and miracles come through the platform of prophecies.
• You cannot reason out how God will bring His Word to fulfilment.
GOD may not be logical, and you may not be able to reason Him out, that is why He is called Jehovah—THE SELF-EXISTENT.
IF you want to reason out the Word of God, His promises, you will end up in doubts and receive nothing from Him.
• God is of FAITH and He does things by FAITH.
- His ways are not our ways and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8,9).
IF you do not want to lose your blessings and miracles, do not doubt God and His Words.
IF you doubt God, His Word and His prophets, you may not receive anything from Him.
- "But let him [her] ask in faith, with no doubting, FOR HE [she] WHO DOUBTS IS LIKE A WAVE OF THE SEA DRIVEN AND TOSSED BY THE WIND.
- FOR LET NOT THAT MAN [woman] SUPPOSE THAT HE [she] WILL RECEIVE ANYTHING FROM THE LORD."
James 1:6,7 (NKJV)
• With God all things are possible!
ALL things belongs to Him, and nothing is impossible with Him: "Jesus looked at them and said to them, "WITH MEN THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE, BUT WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE" (Matthew 19:26).
"But He [Jesus] said, "THE THINGS WHICH ARE IMPOSSIBLE WITH MEN ARE POSSIBLE WITH GOD."

• The limitless and infinite God!
The God of HEAVEN that we serve has no limit!
THE special adviser to the King on economics wanted to reason out the Word of God based on his knowledge of politics and economics, I guess he has honours in politics and economics, he probably studied that in school.
GOD is unfathomable, efforts to understand Him logically, through human reasoning, would always be abortive.
WHATEVER knowledge you HAVE, should be a plus in your walk with God.Any knowledge Or thought that exalts itself against the knowledge of God should be cast down, be brought into the captivity and the obedience of Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 10:5).
YOU cannot imagine in YOUR heart, how God will work in your situation, if you do, you will miss God big time! (2 Kings 5:9-14).Whenever you have a premeditated thought in how God will move on your situation, be sure enough, it would not be the way you have thought.
"There are many plans in a man's heart, NEVERTHELESS THE LORD'S COUNSEL—THAT WILL STAND."
Proverbs 19:21 (NKJV)
YOU cannot box in God with a method Or plan, He is an unfathomable God, who does whatever pleases Him: "But our God is in heaven, HE DOES WHATEVER HE PLEASES" (Psalm 115:3).
• Admonishments
- Whenever God speaks, either through a prophet Or directly to you by the Holy Spirit on the inside of YOU; believe it without arguments, and do not permit doubts.
- Any effort to reason God out is like trying to know how God CAME into existence.
GOD requires faith from you in order to walk with Him.
• Note: obedience is another name for FAITH!
- Acting on what God has spoken is called faith—and that is obedience.
WHEN God speaks, believe and obey: "BY FAITH ABRAHAM OBEYED when he was called to go out to the place where he would receive as an inheritance. AND HE WENT OUT, NOT KNOWING WHERE HE WAS GOING" (Hebrews 11:8).
HEAVEN honours those who believe and obey God's Words: "Blessed is she [he] who believed, FOR THERE SHALL BE A FULFILMENT OF THOSE THINGS WHICH WERE TOLD HER [him] FROM THE LORD" (Luke 1:45).
"BUT WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE HIM [God], for he who comes to God must believe that He is, AND THAT HE IS A REWARDER OF THOSE WHO DILIGENTLY SEEK HIM."

• You blessings will not be lost to another person in Jesus' name.
