"THEREFORE WHEN JESUS PERCEIVED THAT THEY WERE ABOUT TO COME AND TAKE HIM BY FORCE TO MAKE HIM KING, He departed again to the mountain by Himself alone."
John 6:15 (NKJV)

Comment: Being a king might be a good idea, but that was not the purpose why Jesus came to the earth. Thus, when He perceived they wanted to force rulership on Him He departed or flee from there. Whatever is not part of your assignment that people might want to give to you or force on you, wisdom demands that you reject it completely.
Do not allow self aggrandizement or ennoblement; whatever is not part of your assignment that you take would weigh you down. It would be a weight that keeps tripping you up—that hinders you from running the race set before you: (Hebrews 12:1).

If you are a person who likes to be honoured, praised or celebrated; you would need to be watchful as your work is being announced and becoming big.
A lot of things would be brought to you or be introduced to you as a way of honouring or celebrating you; which may outwardly or ordinarily look good, but may not resonate well with God—be received or approved by Him.
If you started receiving or accommodating such things, they would be a distraction that shifts your focus or gaze from the goal, the assignment, set before you by God.
Some of such things might not really look harmful, but they would be a weight or distraction to you in the assignment given to you.
Receiving awards, honour, and being celebrated might be good, but It should not become a weight or distraction to you in the work you are assigned to do.

Humans in general tend to celebrate, honour, eulogize or extol whoever is being used to perform a great feat. But you should be wise enough to know that such honour should not be allowed to enter your head—caused your head to be swollen up.
You should know that the reason why you are being celebrated is because of what you are being used to do by God. If what you are doing is stopped, there would be no reason for the celebration and honour any more. Thus, whatever would take your attention away from the work given to you should strictly be avoided.
One of the major areas where a believer or minister can easily have a problem with God is when his or her attention started shifting from the work they are assigned to do—when such becomes focusless.
Note: You might easily be forgiven by God on a number of things you did wrong, but when your faithfulness in the work or the assignment started dwindling; you surely begin to have issues, glitch or problem, with God.
Thus, whatever would be a weight that would distract you or shift your focus from the work or the assignment or the ministry, should be completely avoided.
Being crowned a king would be a distraction to Jesus, It was not part of the reason or purpose why He came, thus, He completely avoided it.
Peace.
