THE MAN WHO WALKS NOT IN THE COUNSEL OF THE UNGODLY [Psalm 1b]

1. “BLESSED IS THE MAN WHO WALKS NOT IN THE COUNSEL OF THE UNGODLY, nor stands in the path of sinners, NOR SITS IN THE SEAT OF THE SCORNFUL;
2. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night.”
   Psalm 1:1,2 (NKJV)

• "He [who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly] shall be like a tree planted by the rivers [channels], of water" (Psalm 1:3).

• A tree planted by the rivers of water shall not wither Nor dry.
  DRYNESS Set in on a person’s LIFE when he turns away from the water of Life—the Word of God.
• The Word of God waters for growth.
  STRENGTH, stability and freshness come through the Word of God.
  DO you meditate in the Word of God daily? (Joshua 1:8).
• God commanded Joshua to meditate in the WORD, day and night, in order to prosper AND have a good success.

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, BUT YOU SHALL MEDITATE IN IT DAY AND NIGHT, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. FOR THEN YOU WILL MAKE YOUR WAY PROSPEROUS, AND THEN YOU WILL HAVE GOOD SUCCESS.”
Joshua 1:8 (NKJV)

• When you are disconnected from the Word of God, you started withering.
• You do not meditate only, you meditate and observe to do according to the Word. In other words, you practice the Word—be a doer of the Word (James 1:22-25).
  AS a result of doing the Word, meditating and practicing it, you become prosperous and have a good success in whatever you do.
  IS YOUR delight in the Word of God?
• A tree planted by the rivers of water brings forth its fruit in its season (Psalm 1:3).
• God’s purpose for mankind is that we should be fruitful, multiply and replenish the earth (Genesis 1:28).
• If you are not fruitful, it means something is wrong—you are not fulfilling
• God’s desire for you is fruitfulness and multiplication.

1. “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.
2. Then God blessed them, and God said to them, “BE FRUITFUL AND MULTIPLY; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”
   Genesis 1:27,28 (NKJV)

• "That brings forth its fruit in its season," (Psalm 1:3).

• Every fruit has its own season.
  IF you failed to bring forth fruit, At the right season, it is a curse.
• Also, a tree that is not planted by the river side may not bring forth fruit at the right season.
  THE Word of God is the water of Life that can make you grow and be fruitful as a Christian.
  THUS you should be rooted in the Word of God that you may be fruitful.

• "Whose leaf also shall not wither" (Psalm 1:3).

• A Person withers and dries, when such has no links with the water of Life.
  DRYNESS does SET in when there is an absence of water.

• "And whatever he does shall prosper" (Psalm 1:3).

• If you are properly connected to God through His Word, you prosper in all your Endeavours—undertakings.
• Many are putting in more efforts in order to prosper in what they are doing, they however have forsaken God, the Lord Jesus Christ, the fountain of Living water.

“For My people have committed two evils: THEY HAVE FORSAKEN ME, THE FOUNTAIN OF LIVING WATERS, AND HEWN THEMSELVES CISTERNS—broken cisterns that can hold no water.”
Jeremiah 2:13 (NKJV)

WHEN God is forsaken, the FOUNTAIN of Living water, then dryness SET in.
NOTE:Money is spiritual, and prosperity come through Divine connection.

• Good success, Blessing that has no sorrow, can only come from God.

“EVERY GOOD GIFT AND EVERY PERFECT GIFT IS FROM ABOVE, AND COMES DOWN FROM THE FATHER OF LIGHTS, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning”
James 1:17 (NKJV)

• Every gift that will last, endure, must come from God.
• Any gift from satan, the adversary, will lead to destruction.
• Gifts without sorrow COME from God: "THE BLESSING OF GOD MAKES ONE RICH, AND ADD NO SORROW WITH IT" (Proverbs 10:22).

• In contrast: "The ungodly are not so, but are like chaff which the wind drives away" (Psalm 1:4).

• If you do not want to go into Oblivion AND Extinction, then do not walk in the way of the ungodly.
  IF you are not living by the Word of God, it means you are not founded on the Rock, and you can easily be blown away Or destroyed by the wind of life.
• Jesus said those who do His Words are like a house built on the Rock, and those who do not do His Words are like a house built on the sand and that has no good foundation (Matthew 7:24-27).
  IF your life is not founded in Christ, you can easily be driven away by the wind of life.

• "Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgement," (Psalm 1:5).

• The ungodly will be condemned by God.
  THEY will have no place in God’s eternal kingdom.

1. “He who overcomes shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son.
2. “BUT THE COWARDLY, UNBELIEVING, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, AND ALL LIARS SHALL HAVE THEIR PART IN THE LAKE WHICH BURNS WITH FIRE AND BRIMSTONE, which is the second death.”
   Revelation 21:7,8 (NKJV)

• "Nor Sinners in the congregation of the righteous" (Psalm 1:5).

• The righteous are those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour.
  THOSE who believe in their hearts that Jesus died for their SIN, resurrected for their justification, and have confessed Him as Lord and Saviour.

1. “THAT IF YOU CONFESS WITH YOUR MOUTH THE LORD JESUS AND BELIEVE IN YOUR HEART THAT GOD HAS RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, YOU WILL BE SAVED.
2. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, AND WITH THE MOUTH CONFESSION IS MADE UNTO SALVATION.”
   Romans 10:9,10 (NKJV)

IN order to stand in the congregation of the righteous, you have to be born-again, you have to accept Jesus Christ as your Saviour and Lord.
IF you have not taken the step, you do it NOW, tomorrow might be too late: "BEHOLD, NOW IS THE ACCEPTED TIME; BEHOLD, NOW IS THE DAY OF SALVATION" (2 Corinthians 6:2).

• "For the Lord knows the way of the righteous" (Psalm 1:6).

• If you are born-again, you have been made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21).
  YOUR ways are not hidden before God.
• God orders the path, feet of the righteous (Proverbs 3:6; Isaiah 45:13).
  AT new birth, GOD takes the control of your Life totally.
  HE directs all you do and orchestrates things that come your way, even when you do not know.

• "But the way of the ungodly shall perish" (Psalm 1:6).

• The ungodly will perish.
  A Life without Christ is in crises.
  THE end of every sinner is destruction.

• It is my prayer that you will not regret at the end of your journey on earth in Jesus' name.
