Ragi idli or finger millet idli is a nutrious south indian breakfast. Finger millet is rich in natural calcium and iron.
Ragi (Finger Millet) Idli Recipe
1 cup Idli rice (soak for 8 hours and blend to fine batter)
Blend the three items below together to fine batter:
½ cup Poha (soak for 4 hours )
¾ cup Urad dal (soak for 4 hours)
½ tsp Fenugreek seeds (soak together with urad dal)
Mix all the batter above with the ingredients below
and keep minimum 8 hours for fermentation.
1 cup Ragi flour
¾ tsp Salt
Pinch Yeast (optional)
Steam cook for 8 -10 minutes
