The event is meant to celebrate the victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. The military parade takes place on May 9 (V-Day, Victory Day) each year. And this one was a dress rehearsal shot and broadcasted live yesterday on May 4th, 2022 straight from Samara, Russia.
