The Red Day || Ordeal of an Amateur Trader

I wish there was a forecast, a prophesy, a warning, a dream or an accidental sale before the unprecedented Bitcoin plunge that took place today.

I usually checked my portfolio in the morning and the loss was negligible. I kept the phone aside and started doing what I do every morning.

I had to leave for office a bit early. Reached office at 8:30 and I was assigned H.C. There were some 15 matters listed before different benches and I had to handle it alone.

I read the briefs and left for court at 10:30. Donning in the black gown I was all set to skate from bench to bench, depending on which bench will take what matter first.

It is strange to check your portfolio in a time when your all attention should be on attending your cases but I did it and found the massive onslaught going on. In a blink on the eye, I saw my savings vanishing, vanishing and vanishing. I watched it all helplessly, wanted to seek professional advice but could not ask anyone because of multiple reasons and finally I decided to sell all the alts I was holding. The market afforded me no time to think, it was going down in an insane speed.

I had no time to mourn the loss I suffered because I had to attend all matters singlehandedly -- a responsibility that was far greater than my personal loss. I put the phone back and began running back and fro - bench to bench attending matters.

In times like these, buying the dip is wisest strategy but I think, that is for those who have money to burn and I dont fall in that category.

Few hours down the line I feel my decision of selling was wrong but there was so much noise around that I could not hold on.

At the end of the terrific day, one thing that makes me feel good is that: In the hour of extreme panic, I chose to discharge my professional duties uninterruptedly, instead of getting derailed by what was being unleashed.

Thank you

Yes , that's true

Oh god I wish you had hold all your cryptocurrency. In such conditions one has to buy, if one don't buy, he/she must have to ignore checking portfolio every minute. It hurts most losing money.

Remember one thing

You don't lose/gain money, untill you sell. @aasifwani

Yes, that is true. I am new into this, will learn with time.
