There are so many festivals in India and every festival has its own back stories and essence but everyone have their one most favorite festival. one of my favorite festival is DIWALI. The festival of lights and celebration of victory of good over evil.

In India it is one of the most important festival mainly celebrated in our country.

DIWALI

Diwali is also known as Deepavali always comes in the month of October and November in the month of Kartika on the day of full moon. its a festival of Hindu but every religion loves to celebrates this festival.

Mythological point of view

Every festival in India has its backstories which is related to mythology, history and religion. According to ancient text it is believed that the Lord Rama after his 14 years of exile and victory over Ravana returns from Lanka, was declared the king of Ayodhya.
It is believed that the people of Ayodhya celebrated this day with great joy with lights and crackers.
on the other hand it is also said that lord Krishna killed tarakasura on Diwali. So, the people celebrated the victory with great joy.
Another mythological tale is that the lord Vishu and Lakshmi set free from demon Bali that why people offers their prayer to goddess Lakshmi on this auspicious occasion

Historical point of view

On this day Mahavira got Nirvana that is why this day also has its historical pint of view.

Religious point of view

On this day we all offers our prayers and love to our forefathers by showing that lights and candles.

CELEBRATION

We all celebrated this festival all joy and happiness. According to Hindu religion it is auspicious and main festival. people do clean their entire house and decorate their houses with lights, candles, decorated stuffs, white wash.

the reason behind this is that the goddess Lakshmi happily enters in our house and makes our life full of joy, love, happiness, healthy and wealthy. people wore new clothes and greets each others with gifts, sweet, dry fruits and puffed rice is mostly used in this festival.
according to the time (Mahurat) people do their rituals and pooja. After the pooja everyone greets each other and offers gifts and sweets and celebrates the festival by enjoying, eating mouth watering foods and burn crackers.
As we all are conscious about our nature and environment. Now people around the country do not burn crackers as they produced harmful chemicals for our environment and animals. Now people are more aware of consequences which is good for everyone.

I personally always blow sky candles and I love to watch it as it fly high inn sky and do not produce any harmful elements to the environment.

RANGOLI AND DECORATION

Decoration and rangoli is most interesting part as i always tries to made rangoli in the end minutes but the decoration part took a lot of efforts which include buying new items, after all the cleaning we can finally used the items.
