Day 3 of the Insane Lockdown and Some Quiet Moments of Reflection in My Happy Place

in hive-196725 •  4 years ago

While this madness of the total lockdown in the city continues, which brings life to a complete halt, but at the same time, it also gives me time and space to do my pending piled up home activities.

Since the last 2 days, I have been busy with home cleaning stuff, and I have managed to clear loads of stuff. This time I have ruthlessly cleaned up my cabinets, removing almost everything that has not been in use for more than a year. Over a period of time, so much has been accumulated and half the stuff, just keeps lying, without any use. Some old things have been replaced with new. Cabinets and drawers all look cleaned up. Today is kitchen cleaning turn, not much to do there, as that's one place which I keep ensuring that there is no accumulation of the old stuff, so it's going to be relaxed compared to the last two days.

So far 6 big bags have been filled up with stuff to remove, which I have segregated for donation and discarding. As the lockdown opens up will take care of it. And trust me all of these are stuffed up. I can't imagine, there was so much I had piled up. Specially in the last one year, I have not really given much time on the cleaning activity.

The days have been busy with the cleaning, and the evenings have been relaxing, spending time, at the balcony, gazing the sunset, and doing meditation. There are pros and cons of everything and so is the same for the lockdown. With no activity outside, the energies have become light and there is so much peace and quietness. Where I live is a busy area, for the last 2 days no traffic noise, no honking sounds and no door bell ringing, which feels so peaceful.

My happy place where I spend most of my time. I can sit here for hours and spend time with my Crystals, Pendulums and Tarot cards. If ever I am in low energy mode this is the place I have to be to uplift myself and it works for me miraculously. I keep some chanting music playing all the time in this space, like Gayatri Mantra or AUM.

The other best part of my home is the balcony, the sunset from my balcony at times leaves me speechless. It is not the same every day but there are times when there are some beautiful colors in the sky. Though during summers I do not spend much time out at the balcony.

It is so important to maintain our sanity in these times and for that it's best to keep self mentally occupied and at the same time be at peace with the environment. Some people say, I get bored sitting at home, and I always wonder, why do they make such statements. My Home is my little sacred HAPPY PLACE and I can never get bored here, because there is always so much to do.
