I reach my 40K SP Target; 100% Powered up and Some important learnings on the way

One of those high moments for me on my accomplishments. So here I am at 40K SP, reaching my set target. It is indeed very much required to celebrate our milestones. Ideally it should have been 50K, but then around a year ago I had withdrawn 10K to attend to some needs.

Very soon I will be completing 4 years on this platform and when it all started, I never really thought I will reach this far. It was just something that I tried my luck with and at that point of time there were some empty spaces of life which I was trying to fill up and Steemit walked in as a good filler.

In this 4 years journey, there has been lots that happened. Major being the Steem - Hive split. I have been neutral on both. I respect both the platforms in it's own ways and have no judgement on either of them. When the split happen, I too had thoughts to withdraw my stake and convert it to Hive, but then something within kept echoing, to hold on and not make those decisions. In a way it was good, it has kept me balance on both my stakes. And then major crash of Steem price, where it witnessed price as low as .12 cents. Those were some moments to hold on to.

For those people who are new to the platform, let me tell you. It is not so easy as everyone thinks to build up the stakes. It is not a quick rich scheme. There is a lot of effort and dedication that goes into to reach these levels and achieve goals. I have never given a lose end ever on my activities here, and one thing I have always worked with goals set, so that I am clear about what I want to achieve and then set up my actions around it. A lot and lot of networking in the initial times has helped me a lot. And yes, some luck also played it's role. I had some very good supporters right from the beginning who have supported me and appreciated my work, this is also one big reason that has given me the boost to keep continuing.

Success does not come overnight, one has to work towards it and strive for it. Many people when they do not get the expected rewards in the first few months, they give up eventually, that is where the failure happens. And one thing to remember is, no matter whatever your stake is but if you do not have people to appreciate your work, then it feels meaningless. My rewards have gone down a lot from what it used to be before, but yes, they are still good and nothing to complaint on. But the most important thing is that, I get appreciation on my work, which means that my efforts are being acknowledged. Which I feel is a big achievement for me.

Next target is 50K, timeline is set in my mind, which I do not want to disclose here, but for sure I am going to be around here for a long time.
This will be my 950th post as well, so it makes me celebrate double.
