•Auxin first isolated from human urine.

Procusur

Tryptophan in presence of Zn+.

•It is acidic in nature.

•Natural Auxins are:
IAA(INDOLE ACETIC ACID)
IBA(INDOLE BUTERIC ACID)

•Synthetic Auxins are:
NAA(NATHALINE ACETIC ACID)
2,4 diclorophenlxy acitic acid

*2,4 diclorophenlxy acitic acid and 2,4,5 teiclorophenoxy acitic acid are used by US army during VITMAN WAR to deplocate forest so as to locate enemies.

Let's look its physiological effects:

•It is extensively used in agriculture and hoticulture practices.

•Initiate rooting in stem cutting.

•Promotes flowering in pine apple.

•Prevents fruit and leaf drop at early stages but promotes abscission in older leaves and fruits.

•Promotes apical dominance i.e;Apical but inhibits growth of lateral bud.
