It is also known as Festival of Colors. People talk among themselves forgetting all the grudges. It doesn't matter what your caste, creed is, On this Day, All come together and celebrate it happily.
Why I like it?
I love Holi Festival as because It is full of Colors. There is color spread all over the are on this day. All people come together this day. We all ate Sweets on this day.
We all forgot all our grudges, caste, religion and celebrate this together. There are some games also played on this day in some regions which is very interesting. There were made many sweets on this festival which I liked most.
We play it by throwing colors, balloon filled with water on our friends, relatives and I enjoy this Festival very much.
How Holi is Celebrated?
We celebrate Holi by smearing each other with Gulaal(colors). We celebrate it by eating sweets together with our family, friends.
It is celebrated by dancing on songs, throwing balloons filled by water on each other, with colors, eating sweets like Gunjiya( Indian Sweet).
We celebrate it by coming together and then burning Woods and materials. The lighting of the fire is the symbol of victory of good over evil and It is known as Holika Dahan
How Holi Festival come into existence?
There is a history behind Holi Festival. Actually, In History, There was a demon king whose name was Hiranyakashyap. That Kind had a boon that he was immortal and he could not be killed by any human or animal.
So, King wanted all the people to worship him. But there was his own son whose name was Prahalad. His own son was a devotee of Lord Vishnu and he didn't worship his father.
That's why, The king asked his sister whose name was Holika to take his son on her lap and sit in the fire. While sitting in the fire, Holika died but Lord Vishnu saved Prahalad.
After that, Lord Vishnu took the Avatar of Narshimha who was half human and half animal and killed Hiranyakashyap.
So, That day is known as Holika Dahan.
