I wonder if we have some means to track the count of these animals. Does this happen through satellite or they have manual observers counting the numbers of elephants or tigers?

    Wildlife Census can be either conducted by direct counting or by indirect counting methods. In the direct count method the individuals are seen and counted whereas in indirect count method evidences left by animals are recorded to estimate the population.
