My Favorite TV Show | Best of India Contest 2021

I have purposefully not included the title of the anime that I feel is the best TV show because it creates suspense in the minds of readers. Let me know in the comments below if you did feel this is a good idea or not.

This post might start off as a rant but bear with me guys cause I will tell you guys one of the best anime that I have seen yet.

The Game of Thrones | A masterpiece that was ruined in the last 2 seasons | src
Most of us must have already seen The Game of Thrones right? The over-hyped and under-delivered HBO TV series. The amount of hype created after the season finale of Season 6 was simply at a whole new level. At this time I used to think to myself how someone could have even come up with such an amazing storyline.

Fast forward 3 years and the ending definitely left a sour taste in our mouths right? One example of the blunder made by the creators was the character build-up of Sansa Stark. Even in the very last season, this one character seemed to be very dumb until one episode where she turned a total badass. How did this character go from being totally dumb to a complete badass is beyond me.

Another blunder in this series is that none of us know what exactly happened in the past. I agree that the current timeline is pretty good. But the past events that led us here are still a complete black box to all of us. Now that I have pointed out some of the major blunders of this series, let me introduce you to the anime that has all this covered and gives you Goosebumps to a whole new level.

The Best TV series | Attack on Titan | src

Attack on Titan! We are currently in the middle of the final season of this anime but whatever has happened so far has been definitely one of the best story build-ups ever.

What is the story about?

The major part of the story takes place on an island called Paradise island where humans are on the brink of extinction. Three massive walls protect the humans against huge humanoid beings called the Titans.

The Titans eat the humans and nothing else. On one fine day, the wall that keeps the Titans at bay is broken by a massive Titan called the Colossal titan into and the Titans invade the cities inside the outermost wall and kill everyone they can. To save themselves the survivors scramble to the inner walls.

However, with more population in the inner cities, food scarcity becomes a massive problem. To solve these many people go back outside the wall to kill the titans and reclaim their territory. However, all of them end up being eaten by the titans.

In the next three years, some more people start training to gain the skills needed to kill titans. The lead protagonist of the series is Eren Jager. Erens’s mom was killed during the first titan invasion and his dad’s where about to come to us with very brief flashbacks.

Now that Eren has been training for three years straight he is confident that he can take down all the titans and give hope for humanity once again. Just when everything seems to be going his way, the Colossal Titan reappears and ends up destroying the second wall. Most of Eren’s comrades end up being eaten after the Titans start to invade the second wall.

In an attempt to save his best friend Eren too ends up dying. Or we think he does. The next set of events that happen simply puts this whole series in a completely different league.
What is so very unique about all this?
So far whatever I have described is just part of the first season of this anime. Spoiler alert, Eren is not dead. The reason for how he ends up surviving is going to blow your mind.

Also, remember my earlier rant about how Game of Thrones has a very blurry past? If you watch the first 2 seasons of Attack on Titan, you will feel that the past is blurry even here. However, once you start watching the third season of this anime, the past events become very significant. You will know the exact chronology of all the events that happened as you move to the next episode which is what I like to see.

Eren Attacks as soon as a war is declared by the enemy| The best moments of the series | src
The best part about the anime has to be Eren himself. His character development as depicted in the anime even beats Walter white’s character development in breaking bad. That is how good that show is. Going from a very good teenager wanting to save the world to declaring war, Eren does it all.

No amount of words that I write in this article can do justice to this anime. One needs to simply watch it to experience the truly genius masterpiece that we have now.

Final Thoughts:

It was extremely hard for me to write about this anime without spoiling it for everyone. Trust me guys, if you get to the second season finale, then you will be hooked and will know exactly what I mean when I say this is one of the best animes out there.

Haha. This was a rant on GOT. The favorite show is the anime that I have mentioned. The mark-down yes. I used to apply it to all my long posts. Don't remember why I forgot to apply it for this one. Will keep in mind from next time.
