Best of India Contest | Plan a Road Trip Under 50USD | Trip to Koilingeshwara Temple

Hope all are well and participating in the BOI contest. This contest is really interesting to share about trip experience and explore our trip fun and adventure.

I was planning a trip for a long time to got Kotilingeswara temple but I couldn't get the partners who can go. But after a long time, I get the chance to go there with my family members.

So We were all three people me my sisters-in-law and her younger sister. we planned to go there so we booked a cab from the Savaari site. It scheduled the time for morning 7 am. We all get ready on time and started at right time at 7. I was very excited to go there because it was my dream to go there for a long time Kotilingeswara temple from our location is 95km and it's near the KGF (Kolar Gold Field).

In the next 45 min, we left the city behind and reached NH75. We stopped at one place on the highway for tea/coffee. We all three and driver also drank coffee and started for our destination. On the way, we captured some pics of mountains and greenery and took some selfies.

We reached our destination at 9:30 am and entered the temple. Inside the temple, there were many Shivlinga those were countless. So after entering from the main gate inside, there were many temples of multiple gods. Inside those temples not allowed to take pictures but outside of the temple we can. One after one we crossed all temples and we took some pictures also.

At the last, we reached to tallest Shivlinga which is the tallest in the world height is 33mts. We did worship there as well then started to captured memories.

We took unlimited pic over there. One more thing if you do google for this place you may see some charges applied for entering, camera, parking n all but nothing like that only 50rs they will take for parking. If you enter inside the temple before 10 am you will be allowed free of cost. After 10 am you have to pay 100/50rs per person.

At 11:30 we came out from templet and started to walk into the market. I didn't buy anything but laws and her sister bought Shivlinga from there.

After the marketing, we left the place and at 12:30 we reached one restaurant to have lunch.

After lunch, we started to look for more places around but all were closed due to covid so we had no option to go anywhere. We had more rides left in the cab that we had to use but unfortunately, we not found any place so we decided to go mall in Bengaluru city. We reached Phoenix MarketCity Mall at 2 pm.

In that mall was many shops so we went to all shops mostly clothes and shoe shops. Then at 7 pm we all entered the restaurant and had some tasty foods and left to home at 8:30 pm and reached to room by 9:30 pm.
