Untaught Gender Inequality

Good day, Guys,
During my school days, My school had a sir who would not teach subjects but trains students for competitions and takes them to competitions. During that time, Our school would win first in all category and take the overall champion trophy to our school. That was the golden period of our school. Our school had a culture of distributing the prizes to winners in the prayer session and applauding the winners. Award distribution will take place twice a week, It takes nearly half an hour each day. At the end of the day, That sir whom I mentioned gets the credit of all winners of course he deserves it.

After some months, He disappeared from our school. Our school started losing in competitions without a proper coach. Today our school rarely secures awards in competitions. Our school's reputation is hardly hit by his absence. When we students were digging the reason for his dismissal, we got to know that he changed his gender to the third gender. But we students thought that his gender change has nothing to do with the school's reputation or students' safety (which they question). We students wished him to have a good job and live a life he wants (yes that was the most we could do).

The past generations are still living under many stereotypes, which the present generation is not happy about. Teach your kid to respect everyone regardless of any divisions. India declared transgender to be a 'third gender' only in 2014 and The Transgender Persons Act was passed in 2019 to protects transgender individuals against discrimination in education, employment, and healthcare.

But laws cannot change anything unless we people get to change ourselves to shape a better society, where anyone can live the life they want. Gender equality still means the equal treatment of males and females ignoring transgenders all around the world. You need not lecture your friend about transgender inequality but just try to respect them too. They too belong to society. Soon there will be brave transgenders in the Indian army, guarding the nation with pride.

Yours faithfully
