It's been a few years (quite a few!) since I last posted on Steemit. In that time, I left Korea, and I'm now travelling in South-East Asia. However, since it's been five years since my last post, I have a lot of photos from around the world to share. Today, I wanted to share a few of my more recent photos of Seoul. I hope you enjoy them!
All of these photos are my own.
Love it or hate it, Lotte Tower dominates the Seoul skyline. It isn't the only tower in the city that's visible from almost anywhere, however. For a long time, I've wanted to get a decent photo featuring both Namsan Tower and Lotte Tower, and I finally got that photo from Namhansanseong. It's a bit of a walk, but the view is one of the best, if not the best, in Seoul.
Another stunning view that's worth the walk can be found on Yongmasan. This mountain is less well-known than most of the mountains around Seoul, but it provides a stunning view of Namsan Tower and the north-east of the city. Just be careful if you walk there around dusk, as there are no lights on the path and getting down can be dangerous.
While the mountains afford stunning views of Seoul, so does the Han River. When I was in Seoul, I would often go out for walks along the river and take my camera with me. No matter where along the river I decided to walk that evening, it was always possible to get stunning photos. Here are a few from different locations along the river.
While spring is my favourite season in Korea, there are no photos like those taken during winter. While the Han River is too large to freeze completely, the surface will freeze in places, and you can take some stunning photos. Curiously, there were even footprints on the ice so some people clearly had the (seemingly quite dangerous) idea to walk out on the river itself!
That is all for today, but I hope you've enjoyed seeing a few of my more recent photos from Seoul. Depending on how this goes, there will be more to come soon!
