The following schools will close, according to the institute:
• Miami International University of Art & Design
• The Art Institute of Atlanta
• The Art Institute of Austin, a branch of The Art Institute of Houston
• The Art Institute of Dallas, a branch of Miami International University of Art & Design
• The Art Institute of Houston
• The Art Institute of San Antonio, a branch of The Art Institute of Houston
• The Art Institute of Tampa, a branch of Miami International University of Art & Design
• The Art Institute of Virginia Beach, a branch of The Art Institute of Atlanta
"The Art Institutes will mail each current student five official copies of their transcripts, at no cost to the student, on or after October 1, 2023, to ensure that all current students, including those on authorized leaves of absence, receive the necessary academic records required for any potential transfer of credit to other institutions. The institute said that students without up-to-date mailing addresses may not receive their transcripts during this one-and-only mailing, or they may not receive them at all.
The Art Institute stated that they support students who wish to finish their degree at other institutions.
"On or after October 1, 2023, The Art Institutes will mail each current student five official copies of their transcripts at no cost to the student, to ensure that all current students—including those on authorized leaves of absence—receive the necessary academic records required for any potential transfer of credit to other institutions. According to the institute, students who do not have up-to-date mailing addresses on file may not receive their transcripts during this only mailing or may receive them later.
