My teenager is making $200 dollars over the weekend on a freelancing job.
A few days ago, he visited his doctor for a routine checkup. Over the normal doctor-patient conversation, his doctor mentioned she had a seminar coming next week and was needing help with digital marketing.
“What do you need? Maybe I can help you with that, doctor!”
She needed a short video to promote her event, setting up a ticketing online service and a PowerPoint presentation to be used during the seminar.
As soon as he got out of his appointment, he called me and told me about this opportunity.
“Dad… doctor Lorena needs help with some digital content. I think I can do it. Can I borrow your camera and software?”
Acting really cool, I said, “OK, let me know if you need any help.” (On the inside I was jumping with excitement!)
As I write this, he’s working on it from home.
The best thing of it all is that he’s learning while he gets paid!
