They are not only those who start the war
They are not only those keen about the war
They are not only the propagandists

They are not only those at the front lines
They are not only those involved in the shelling
Not only those in the trenches

They aren't only those involved in detonating bombs
The grenade honors not its maker
Nor the bullet its manufacturer

An assemblage of the lethal objects
Depicts not who will be victorious
When a shot is fired at the enemy

We are all casualties of the war
Cos we all suffer from its carnage
And the anguish it all brings

Whether being struck by the bullet
Or left to die painfully by an advancing enemy
The jets sometimes crash killing all on board

The hyperinflation that bites harder
The wailing and gnashing of teeth
The curtailed freedom puts all of us
In the doldrums fall of despair
