Hello everyone 🤗
I trust we are doing great today.
here is my assignment post for graphic design class-lesson 6 by @niglys8.
please take 2mins to read through.
Graphic designing cannot only be done using softwares and computers alone, the use of smart phones for designing is no more news..
However, the only challenge faced by smart phone graphic designers is finding the right app to use, but fortunately for the students in this class, we've gone pass that.
PIXEL LAB app was introduced to us by our amiable GD teacher @niglys8 and I must confess,it hasn't fell short of our expectations...
We keep discovering series of new things daily!
so here in this post,I will be providing some answers to the lesson 6 graphic design class assignment by @niglys8.
Most of which are more of practical work than theory.
here is the first question to begin with 👇
A lot of site offers this service, but I will recommend only 2 of these site that I discovered and deem perfect for background removing operation aside the popular REMOVE.bg website that was used by our GD teacher for the lesson...
•Removal.ai:
This site can be use to cut specific element from the actual background whereby creating a transparent background.
One fascinating thing about this website is that it operates for free.
It is very easy to use with just 3 steps of operation
-upload image to website
-click on convert tab to erase background
below is the link to the website
•Photoscissors:
This is also a background remover site that removes background from image.it comes with lot of background removing features like-separating foreground from the background
-swapping of background
-Removing of background around hair and transparent object.
it also support popular graphic image format like PNG & JPG and relatively easy to use.
Just like my uncle use to say,"it doesn't matter the road you took, what matter is that you arrived your destination!"
In pixel lab, there are diverse ways in which one can follow to pick a suitable size for one's design, and in this answer, I will be exploring 2 ways a designer can follow in sizing or picking a suitable size for one's banner design using pixel lab app.
This question is more of practical work,so I will be using screenshots to drive home my point and for better illustration.
FIRST WAY
•Step1:open pixel lab application on your mobile device.
•Step2:Click on the "3 dots" tab at the top right of the application interface,a drop down menu will become visible...just like in my screenshot.
•Step 3:Click on image size and manipulate to your preferred choice.
SECOND WAY
•Step 1:Open the pixel lab app on your mobile device.
•Step2:click on the double square like icon at the button of your screen...as seen in my screenshot.
•Step3:A top menu will appear just above, showing colour, transparent, image size, crop, image option and the likes..just click on image size and manipulate to your desired size.
After going through the short documentation by my amiable GD teacher @niglys8 on how to design a banner,I decided to apply the knowledge into producing something myself.
I chose a white background.
I complimented my background colour with another colour to make it more attractive.
I added text using attractive fonts.
I inserted my image properly and where I deem fit and perfect.
I added steem skillshare logo and little design touches to beatify more.
Alignment
my banner is ready🎀..
Information about this visual design and art is tabulated below:
Colour | Hex code |
---|---|
white | #FFFFFF |
Dark moderate blue | #2F3C87 |
Bright red | #F44336 |
Fonts | Type |
---|---|
San serif | Armwrestle |
serif | chantelli_antiqua. |
I only made use of two fonts in my design.
Who would have thought one could design like a professional using smart phone for designing operation.
I think this is a pronounced evidence!
With the help of this class and my amiable app design teacher, @niglys8 this has become a full blown reality.
I wouldn't fail to also acknowledge @atim1234 for this wonderful and unprecedented development in this community.
Thanks for reading through 🤗

Considering the content of answers, depth of knowledge, attachment of images, the layout of markdowns, style of presentation of the assignment, we have set the grading system for each question.
Here are your grades for Class-6 dated 27th Sept, 2021.
Wish you all the best. Keep engaging in upcoming classes.

Wow!
I scored one over two in the first question ma,
Please ma,can I know why??
The question was "what site is used to remove background from image" and not "according to this class, what site is used for removing background".
I believe you intentionally gave me 1, thinking I was too forward ma.
But with all due respect ma,I answered the number one question correctly base on how you asked it.
there are lot of site that offers this service and I mentioned 2.
I believe learning shouldn't and doesn't end where the teacher stopped but it's okay if you feel your students should be limited to only the knowledge they acquire here in this class.
Well, thanks once again for the eye opening lesson on banner design using app..it was really useful for me.I promise to do better in your next class
Special thanks

Hello @dibie
All answers provided by the students for all assignments given should be solved in respect to the lectures given and not outside the lectures.
Thank you!

But your question never dispicts so ma...and besides i made mentioned of Remove.bg In my number one answer, didn't I?
I hope next time, your assignment question would be more precise and clear to avoid future mistakes and mixup.
Thank you🤗
