The Brink Of Hope

There is a power greater than us
I know this
But i can't relate
I searched for it
But i couldn't find it
Then I sank in the rivers of doubt
It's like hiding from a Jaguar
On a shallow paw paw tree
Afraid it might give you up anytime
And happy it saved you for the time
But uncertain for how long
Cause the Jaguar rested under it

There is a power greater than us
I have felt it's presence
But forgot how it felt at sunshine
I feel it's chills and serenity
Awaking my sleeping hairs
But was told it burns like flames
Darkness isn't when the moon
Covers the sun from the night's cold
Or when stars blanket the earth

Darkness is when you are scared
of the night that brought you peace
When you are frightened by the pope
That you can't escape sin while alive
And can't escape hell when you die in sin
It's like hiding from a Jaguar
Hopeful you might escape
And scared your gait might give you
up

But how can I forget?
There's a power greater than us
Which is not hidden by nature
When I see God in your smiles
A beauty science can't explain
When God dances in your eyes
A magic that never grows old
When God rests in your voice
A brink of hope, enough to make me remember the feeling forgot
On the brink of hope that God exists
And is above our minds...
