A review of "What does love mean to @daprado1999?"

In his article What does love mean..., @daprado1999 starts with the statement:

Love is magical and cannot really be explained by someone, how you feel inwards about someone can best be explained by the active lover, it's a deep mystery yet to be unravelled.

He describes its meaning, its virtues, and some of its aspects. It is a good read, but I am not sure @daprado1999 exposed his true feelings about the topic. It isn't easy to describe how it relates to sacrifice unless one has sacrificed for love.
Sacrifice may happen in a couple of ways in my experience. One of my favourite authors is "O. Henry." Probably his most well-known story is "The Gift of the Magi." In it, the two protagonists sacrifice their most precious possessions to buy gifts for each other. There is another type of sacrifice, though. Have you ever stepped aside from a relationship to allow the one you love to connect with someone she loves more than you? In my case, I recognized the signs before the two of them knew it themselves.

One of the aspects of love is called Limerance. One can measure this condition by the number of times you think of another per day. At one point in my life, I attempted to make a connection. When one is limerent, it is like an obsession. One will text with the object of your affection multiple times of the day. It's an excellent barometer to gauge the quality of your relationship. If you think of a co-worker more than your spouse, you have a problem.

This isn't a contribution to the contest, it is a quick review. Consequently, I have made @daprado1999 a beneficiary of this post.
