PIXEL LAB ASSIGNMENT

Having gone through the lecture on Pixellab by our teacher @niglys8, I will be answering the questions to the assignment given.

QUESTION ONE

STATE TWO DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE "Use image from gallery" OPTION AND THE "from gallery" OPTION?

FIRSTLY

The "use image from gallery " option and the "from gallery " option are two different options on the pixellab application.

Screenshot_20210917-014044.png

Firstly for the first option which is the "use image from gallery" option can be accessed using the three dots icon at the top right hand corner of the image above. While for the second option which is the "from gallery" option , this can be accessed using the add icon located at the top left hand corner of the workspace. Clicking the various icons will reveal the options.

BOTH OPTIONS SIDE BY SIDE

SECONDLY

use image from gallery

For this option the image selected from the gallery is fit to the background of the workspace on pixellab. It serves as a background for you to do other work on it

As can be seen in the images above, the image was selected and the size of the image orientation was selected before it was applied, second image shows image was fit to look like it is now the background for the workspace.

from gallery

Unlike the initial option, from gallery allows you to still resize your image selected even after it has been added to the workspace

You can see that after inserting the image, the first image shows selecting the image orientation and the second image shows the image in the workspace. In this case image is not fit as background and can be moved around as well as resized to your choice.

QUESTION TWO

WHEN TWO TEXTS ARE BEING MERGED ON THE APP WHAT HAPPENS?

Two texts can be merged together on pixellab using the icon known as layer icon .
It allows us to join together two or more texts which have already been written on the workspace.

The layer icon is accessible at the top right hand corner of the workspace.

This image shows the text STEEM being written.

Another text SKILLSHARE is now added to the initial one as seen in the image.
Note that both texts are separate and will have to be worked on separately if you want to edit any of the texts.

Screenshot_20210917-013045.png
• 1 STEEM IS SELECTED
• 2 SKILLSHARE IS ALSO SELECTED
• 3 THEN THE MERGE ICON IS CLICKED

Click Ok
To confirm the merge and both texts will now be merged together.

The advantage of this option is that both texts are now together and can be edit as one selection.

I have always used pixellab for some designs but I wasn't aware it had a lot of cool features as these. Special thanks to our teacher @niglys8 for this wonderful lecture and our headmaster @atim1234 for creating this opportunity for us. I'm still looking forward to learning more and improving my skill on Pixellab in future classes.
