Steem Skillshare Contest - Banner Design Contest --- entry by @kwadjobonsu

Hello everyone. This post is my entry into the Steem SkillShare Banner Design contest by @atim1234. I recently joined the Steem Skillshare community, and I am elated to be participating in this contest. I look forward to more a fruitful relationship with this community. I love to acquire new productive skills and also improve upon older ones. So I am very happy to be part of this community, where experts share their knowledge on various subjects to help individuals develop their skillset. For my graphic design, I used the befunky online application on my laptop. I first visited befunky.com and selected a blank template. I assigned the template a deep violet color.

Next, I download a copyright-free art image from pexels.com. I will later use this image as part of my design process.

Afterward, I overlayed the image to the violet template. I expanded the image to cover more than one-third of the height of the workspace.

Next, I overlayed a transparent Steem SkillShare logo.

I then added and overlayed a rectangle to the work.

I moved the SkillShare logo into the rectangle and positioned it to the far right side to make space for text.

I added a text with a custom green color and Rubik Mono One font style. The text was shifted to the far left side of the SkillShare Logo.

The white background of the rectangle was too strong for my liking, so I reduced its opacity to blend in with the violet background.

After that, I added the invitation text. I assigned different colors to the text and changed the font style for the last words.

I then added a greeting text and assigned it larger letter spacing and bigger font size.

Finally, I reduced the opacity of the art image to blend with the background.
