~Where does Death take us?

What is death? We often wonder,
Flooding our brains with macabre tales,
Tinged with sadness with empty walls,
Strong chills and long torture?

We think of life as the best option,
But what if after death there's life without choice?,
We live trying to reach perfection,
To have a dignified death like the ones on television.

If we don't do the above, we are also doomed,
To a sad, lonely and helpless old age,
It's a balance we must try to maintain,
Similar definitions we have to learn.

Despite all the negative things we have come to tell,
In the cemeteries of every city you'll find many buried dreams,
Buried desires just like the truth,
I love you never expressed that will go to eternity.

We are all one second away from walking,
Two minutes to breathe, an hour to reflect,
A week to imagine, a month to dream and a year to realize,
But it only takes a sigh to stop breathing.
