A preposition is a word used to indicate how a noun and a pronoun are in relation with each other.

It is a word used to show direction, time, place, location or even spacial relationship.
A follow up of noun or a pronoun must exist in the sentence containing.
A preposition gives further meaning to a sentence. It gives a reader or a listener a clear detail about a noun or a pronoun.

Examples of preposition in a sentence

  • The man came from the south
  • The lady jumped into the sea to rescue her son
  • The man climbed above above thee hill to get a better view of the ceremony
  • The boy is inside the house playing
  • She ran towards her mother to embrace her
