Thank you very much to @SteemSkillshare for this wonderful contest you have been giving. Good work to the community admins and members. Kudos to you. The contest really reminds me of my primary 2 teacher, tears nearly dropped from my eyes.
The teacher I will never and can’t ever forget in my life is my primary 2 teacher who was the person of Madam Abena, who was a trainee. But our teacher himself was Sir Emma. So the teachers themselves y used to give the lesson notes to the trainees to teach and give us note.
So one day, this madam came to teach us mathematics, though she use to cane us every morning in the recitation of multiplication table. So that day she came to introduce a new topic called Mathematical signs, which was about +,-,=,<,>, etc. So we came to the inequality signs, thus greater than(>), less than(<), and equal to(=), and I became confused.
She didn’t understand my situation and started whipping me. She punished me that a lot. And anytime she goes to the board and ask of a sign I will mistake it for the other. Like this sign(>) I will call it less than and vice versa. But she kept caning me, though those teachers are not qualified teachers so they don’t know how to handle students that much. That day I was like a fool, I was totally confused. Not that I was bad it didn’t know it, but she made confuse.
Cause we never wrote exams and I wasn’t part of the top 3. Don’t know wether she was testing me or what.
And that same madam use to sell ice cream. And whenever she brings it and you don’t buy that day, no break for you. You will remain in the class till closing. And she taught us a lot of Church songs, though our school was Catholic School. We use to go to the Church every Wednesday though some of us were Muslims.
Madam Abena really taught us well though she punished us too. I won’t say she was wicked or cruel, but she was good. From thatday onwards even if they close my eyes and ask the names and functions of that signs I can’t say and explain them, though it as if she was punishing.
And when I got to SHS, at times I can go to class and sit till closing. I won’t get up or move, cause I wasn’t having money on me so where should I go. Bo money to buy food so no break. She really taught me a lot of lessons, and she use to like me a lot. Cause I always passed her exams and was always part of the top 3.
So I will say a very thank you to her, though I don’t know where she’s now. May Allah bless her.
