How are you all Hope you are well by the grace of God. I am also fine with your prayers. Today I will try to showcase the handicraft making work of the Kumars. Kumars make various kinds of things from clay. One of them is Dauri or Kola. To the people of the village it is known as Kola. I will try to highlight the background of their handmade scene. Let's get started.

Let's start the process:

  • Clay soil is needed to make different types of pots and pans. The potters collected the soil and brought it. In case of hard type of soil, it has to be soaked with water.

  • The gur is collected by burning sugarcane juice. Demand of farmers is high in winter season. The potters have made the structure of the bottom part of the collar beautifully.

  • The structure of the upper part of the rope is being given. The complete structure of the rope has been given by attaching it to the bottom part. He is doing it nicely so that there is no risk.

  • The complete structure of the rope is finished. Now they have to be polished. The rope is to be parallel to the body with light water. You have to leave it like this for some days. If it is a little hard, it has to be prepared for burning.

  • Then the ropes are made into big choklas and prepared for burning there. Inside the chowkla, the ropes are kept in a decorated condition. Cover with rice husk and cover with mud. Temperature so that it can not come out.

The chokla loaded with ropes has to be burned. In this way, after burning with wood shavings for many days, the ropes will have a strong shape.

  • Eventually they completed the work of making. They do the baking work and leave it for a few days to cool down. When it cools down, it cleans the ropes. Then the market arranges the birth.


Their livelihood depends on earthen pots and pans. Makes different kinds of things in different seasons. Today, these are almost extinct. The use of pottery made by potters.
