Oranges are round circular fruits that grows on trees. They are called Oranges because the colour originated from them. Oranges was first found in China and has spread throughout the world. Orange is a fruit that is rich in vitamin C and has citrus acids in it.
Orange has a lot of varieties, some are sour and am some are sweet, they include:
- Jaffa
- Seville
- Navel
- Blood oranges
- Cara Cara
- Valencia
- Mandarin
A average orange has more than 100% daily dosage of vitamin C. This means that it's the one of the citrus fruits that delivers more vitamin c to the Body.
One average orange has:
- 14 micrograms of vitamin A
- 60 calories
- 15.4 grams of carbohydrates
- 237 milligrams of potassium
- 1 gram of protein
- 6% of your daily recommended amount of calcium
- No fat or sodium
- 70 milligrams of vitamin C
12 grams of sugar
3 grams of fiber
- High in Vitamin C
Oranges are exponential source of vitamin c. An orange can have 117.2 % of daily dosage for vitamin c. Regular intake of vitamin C leads to a more healthy life with low risks of cancer and kidney failure.
- Anti-inflammatory
oranges has the ability to serves as Anti-inflammation in the body. Inflammation is the long run can cause diabetes, arthritis, heart disease and cancer. By eating Oranges, you reduce the risks.
- More Fiber
Eating oranges can keep your bowels healthy, it reduces risks of heart disease, ulcers and cholesterol to the minimum. It also helps the body absorbs less sugar to avoid diabetes.
- Prevents skin damage
Oranges have Anri-oxidants that protects the skin from radiation and damage. It's said that eating oranges everyday in your life makes you look young even at 40.
- Keeps blood pressure under check
Oranges are also rich in vitamin B6, which helps in the production of Haemoglobin that keeps blood pressure in control. People with high BP should regularly take oranges.
- Helps absorption of iron
Citrus fruits are very good in absorption of iron and since oranges is a very rich citrus fruit, it's good for the maintenance of the internal part of the body. Although oranges aren't loaded with iron but due to its nature, it absorbs iron from other foods and sends them to where they are needed.
- Controls blood sugar level
Oranges contain fibers that keeps blood Sugar levels in check, this means that orange is a good snack for people with diabetes. Also, oranges has healthy Sugar in it. So take less of the industrial produced sugar and go for oranges.
- Alkalizes the body
Oranges has a lot of alkaline minerals that helps in digestion. Orange are similar to lemons as they both have alkaline that alkalize the body.
- Good eye sight
Oranges have carotenoids which helps in keeping the mucus membrane in the eyes heathy. Oranges have vitamin A that can prevent blindness due to old age, so remind your parents to eat your oranges.
