The 5 most intelligent robots in history
In science fiction movies are the impression that robots are a kind of future creation, portrayed as being able to walk on two legs and think like humans. However the cinema sketch is not entirely accurate. In fact, we use robots for a long time, but they look a little different. This looms early XIX century, cruise missiles during World War II, modern dishwashers. Even our alarm clocks - small tasks, after the installed program, wake us up at the right time. However, as to the history of robotics, we are not too far from science fi reality. Here are 5 of the most intelligent robots created by man over the last 50 years.
ELIZA K, 1966

The robot was designed by Elsa, an expert in the field of artificial intelligence Joseph Weizenbaum, one of the first virtual companions. The program simulates a psychiatric American scientist. Elsa is able to answer questions, and ask the user them. In fact, the program does not understand some of what he heard and merely replicated the man. Nevertheless, Elsa was able to convince many of her negotiators in the presence of her intelligence.
Creatures, 1994
Computer graphics expert and researcher Carl Sims has created a group of virtual creatures that were inhabitants of his own virtual universe. Because of genetic algorithms they have learned to crawl, jump and compete with each other. Unfortunately, they were also worried about their virtual lives, to talk to us.
Dark blue, 1997
Supercomputer Deep Blue, the world chess champion developed by IBM, gained fame by winning a match of six games at Gary Casparo. Neither robot had ever attempted similar results. However, without the help of dark blue programmers is not able to do this, and using only the most basic methods of artificial intelligence theory, they can hardly fully consider its actions. After Gary Casparo's crushing defeat I accused my opponent of cheating and demanded a rematch, but the software company refused the chess player.
IBM Watson, 2011
IBM Watson became the first supercomputer to win the American television game Quiz Danger! The smart computer can understand 4 terabytes of total volume C in the database including about 200 million pages of information I ask him questions and find answers. The machine played against Ken Jennings, set a record in the biggest gains for the winning streak period, and Brad Rutter, in a tremendous show. IBM Watson won ڈالر 1 million, compared to 300 300,000 and 000 200,000, respectively.
Deep Q Network, 2015

Deep Q Network - Development company DeepMind, born AlphaGo program, champion of the game's Japanese strategy. Artificial intelligence to learn 49 classic attic games on the rules yourself, just staring at the screen and not helped by programmers. Deep Q Network coped with stunning most games. However, he was not able to kill a man in the PAC Man game. Deep Q has not been able to learn the rules of the network, but to plan his activities for a few seconds before he was not under power.
