What is an air drop? How it works?

AirDrop is a feature that allows Mac and iOS devices to share wireless files with minimal redundancy.

AirDrop is extremely cool and useful, but it is one of the features that most people do not know about. Not that it's hard to use (it's not), but that's why most people don't see it. Most of the time when we want to share a photo with someone, we just send them a text message. Which, of course, made the video an overnight impression.

AirDrop is not just for pictures, of course. You can use it to move anything you share. For example, you can air drop your iPad from your website to your friend's phone, which is nice if they want to bookmark it for later reading. Or about a grocery list? You can Airdrop from Notes to another iPad or iPhone. You can tank Apple Maps anywhere in Apple Maps from any playlist. Want to share your contact information? Air draw.

How does AirDrop work?

AirDrop creates a peer-to-peer neighboring Wi-Fi network between devices using Bluetooth. The creation of a firewall around the connection and files of each device is sent encrypted, which actually makes it much more secure than transmitting it via email. AirDrop will automatically detect nearby supported devices, and devices only need to be close sufficient to establish a good Wi-Fi connection, allowing files to be send across multiple rooms.

One advantage of AirDrop is the use of Wi-Fi to make connections. Some apps offer the same file sharing capabilities using Bluetooth. And some Android devices use Windfield Communications (NFC) and Bluetooth to share files. But both Bluetooth and NFC are relatively slow compared to Wi-Fi, which uses AirDrop to share large files faster and more conveniently.

AirDrop is supported on existing iPods back to iPod 4 and iPad mini. It also works on existing phones going back to the iPhone 5 (and, yes, it also works on the iPod Touch 5). It is also supported on Macs with Microsoft X, although Max may be released earlier than 2010 but may not be supported.

How to change air drop

Having trouble finding where to turn AirDrop If you get caught up through your own iPad settings, you're looking in the wrong place. Apple wanted to make it easier to remove AirDrop or so, so they put the configuration in the new control panel. Unfortunately, this is not the first place we all have to change our settings.

You can access the control panel by sliding from the bottom of your iPad screen. Remember, you have to start at the very edge. If this helps you can start the iPad display completely.

Once the control panel is down, you will have access to the AirDrop settings. You can turn it off, off or "contacts only", which is the default setting. 'Contacts only' means that only people in your contacts list will only allow you to send an airdrop request.

Tip: If you're having trouble with AirDrop not working properly, try these troubleshooting tips so they can work properly again.

You need to be close to the person you are sharing with and have them change to register their device, however, you do not need to be right with them. The air drop can also reach the next room. The two resources will also need the correct permission to airdrop together.

In Control Panel you can tap the AirDrop button to change permissions from "Off" to "Everyone". This is usually the best way to leave a "touch only".

You'll also need to navigate to whatever you want to share. So if you want to share a webpage, you need to be on that webpage. If you want to share a photo, you will need to view this photo in the Photos app. AirDrive is not a file manager as you can see on PC. It is designed to share what you are currently doing.

First, tap the share button. It comes with an arrow box that sticks straight up. The Share button reaches the Share main menu, allowing you to share via AirDrop, Facebook, iMessage, etc. View image of share button.
Next, find the device you want to get your air drop. This is the biggest part of the sharing menu. Devices will be displayed as a circle with an identification label under it. This will be a contact image with their name under it, but if you do not have an image attached to this contact, it will appear as a gray circle with their start.
Last, tip the circle. The recipient of the tapping will start sending the document, then it will be encouraged whether to accept the airport or not.
that's it. You can skip anything from images to web pages. You can also make a contact by typing the share contact button at the end of the contact information in the Contacts app.
