Chinese lesson with Julie. Visually easy to remember characters

First of all thank you for your support and participation in Chinese learning course. I will choose today the winner for the contest and write a post in my next publication.

Today we continue to study Chinese characters and learn many easy to remember characters that are very similar the objects they represent and mean. It is a very logical characters that are so visually similar that I am sure you will be really surprised.

串 - Meat screw

Can you see how similar this character to actual meat screw? It is so easy to remember that I am sure you will be able to order it in Chinese restaurants

If you see this character in Chinese menu be sure that it is something on the screw.

伞 - umbrella

Umbrellas are very popular in china during rainy weather or sunny weather. The chinese character looks exactly like ancient umbrella that was invented in China.
The umbrella that is used for rainy weather is called 雨伞 and the one for sunny weather is called 阳伞

The door in traditional chinese is 門 and in simplified is 门. As you can see the character shows us the entrance, gate. It is an easy character so I am sure no problem for you.

竹 - bamboo

The last character for today is 竹 which mean bamboo. Bamboo is a very often used material in china. We make chopstics, other dishes, steam pots and many objects use bamboo. As you see on top of chinese character of chopstics there is bamboo radical that changed a bit its original form into shorter version.
