CONTEST ENTRY: Steem Skillshare Contest - Banner Design Contest | @vectorshore

For a very long time, I have always wanted to showcase my designs here on steemit. I couldn't find the right community as every other community I posted them in, I got no support. At a point, I thought maybe I can't get any rewards if I actually post my graphic designs.

If you take a look at my achievement 1 post in the newcomers' community when I started steemit, I made mention that I will be posting my graphic designs on steemit, but when I started posting them, I got discouraged as I got no support. Maybe I have been posting them in the wrong communities. Thank God for this community. I can now share my graphic designs here.

NOW TO THE CONTEST

After reading what we should design in course of the contest, here's what I came up with and I hope you love it.

WHAT DID I USE TO DESIGN THIS BANNER?

Well, I have been designing for two (2) years now and I have been using Adobe Illustrator for all my designs. The particular version I used is Adobe Illustrator 2020. I really love using this software as it is very user-friendly and easy to understand. Although I have used Corel Draw a few times, I just love using Adobe Illustrator more. It creates a vector image which makes it very easy for printing. You can zoom in as much as you want and it doesn't lose quality.

MY DESIGN PROCESS

First, I launched my Adobe Illustrator 2020 and selected the size of the banner I wanted. For this design, I used 1280 pixels by 1024 pixels

Next, I used the Eclipse shape in the tool section of Adobe Illustrator. I placed them at the left edge of the canvas and gave them fill colors as well as reducing their opacity.

I also used the Text tool to write the text for the contest; "LEARN GRAPHIC DESIGN FOR FREE" and I also added a few writeups such as the type of designs like Logos, Banners, Business Cards, etc at the bottom.

I also took collected the steemit skillshare logo from the internet, edited it, and added it to the design.

WHICH FONTS DID I USE?

I used Montserrat Font for the texts "LEARN GRAPHIC DESIGN" and "for"
I used Franklin Gothic Medium Font for the texts "FREE", "Banners", "Flyers", "Logos", "Business Cards", and "WeddingCards"

WHAT COLORS DID I USE?

I used 5 colors; Pink, White, Yellow, Green, and Purple.
