INTRODUCTION
Hello dear friends, I'm happy to be here once again in this grate community and today I will be participating in a contest titled; health benefits of orange.and I want to appreciate @doctorstrips for coming up with such wonderful contest.
Orange fruits
Orange are fruits which is round and orange in color but some oranges can be green in color depending on the type of orange and they are citrus fruits which grows on a tree. According to the history of orange the name was generated from the(Sanskrit word Naranga) and it was first originated and cultivated in the southern China, but presently the Barzil are the most producers in the world because they produces about 30% output in the world. the Orange fruits is now one of the popular fruits in the world and most people plant it in there houses.
The orange fruits is very sweet and very rich in vitamin C,A and it contains (111mg) of calcium. There are different types of oranges and some of the orange are sour and some are sweet and the common types of oranges in the world are; Naval, blood orange, tangerine,Seville orange,Jaffa orange e.t.c.
- The navel oranges are the most used and popular orange which are commonly grown in the world,the orange always grows in second fruits opposite it's stem and the second fruits remain underdeveloped but in the outer part it's look like the human navel. The navel oranges are being considered as one of the best orange for making juicing.
- Tangerine oranges are sweet and smaller in size than the other oranges,and they are very sweet and popular orange in the world.it is very soft and it has thin skin which make them easier to peel and it is very high in vitamin C.
- Blood orange: It's consist of bright red flesh and they are smaller than the navel oranges,but they are a bit bigger than the tangerine. They are also easy to peel and they are very juicy, this type of orange are very good in making sauces, and salads.
Health benefits of orange
Orange fruits have many health benefits among which are;
- Good eye's health: The orange are very rich and source of carotenoid, and the vitamin A which is present in the citrus fruits plays an important role by keeping the mucus membranes in the human eyes healthy. It's also prevent the age related mascular deneneration which can lead to blindness.so the orange fruits is very good for the eyes because it helps to absorb the light and also it keeps the eyes very clean and healthy.
- Rich in vitamin C: The orange fruits is very rich and aslo a source of vitamin C because they offer about 116.2 percent daily, and the good intake of the vitamin C normally reduces the risk of cancer and it repairs our DNA. Vitamin C is a very good nutrients that helps the body in production of collagenase and it is very good and vital for the healthy immune system. Vitamin C also prevent colds and recurrent ear infection.
- It lowers cholesterol: The orange are very essential for the body because most people eat different types of food that are not cholesterol free, that alone causes harm to the body system but the orange fruits is good in reducing such harm in our body, the orange helps in absorption of iron and it's lower the cholesterol in our body.citrus fruits are always good for anemic patients because they lack some amount of minerals iron and that causes Amenia but in other to avoid that the orange do help alot.
- It helps to safeguard against constipation: The orange is also good in this aspect of the body because it had both the insoluble and soluble fibre which help in keeping our stomach and intestines to function very well and smoothly by reducing or preventing the irritable bowel syndrome and also the fibre helps in treating the constipation to some greater extent.
- It Alkalinzes the body: the orange fruits helps during digestion because it's basic nature is acidic before we even digest them,the orange have a lot of alkaline minerals that also plays an important role during the digestion process in our body.yhe orange mostly used for the digestion process is the lemons.
- it reduces and controls blood sugar: the orange fruits helps in controlling the blood sugar thereby making a very healthy snack for those people suffering from diabetes.the fructose helps in keeping the blood sugar levels from rising when you eat them.but that those not mean that you should consumed much orange because it can lead to weight gain.
CONCLUSIONS
In conclusion orange has many nutrients and it is very important to our body system and at least one should try and eat or drink the orange natural juice once a while after eating. Consuming vitamin C can help us to maintain our body and skin health and it's also contribute to collagen production which promote our skins.
