Kohli is calling for a world record of a century๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ

How does it feel to see the face of the first child? You can ask Virat Kohli. As a father, Kohli can't express the feeling of seeing his daughter Vamika.

The words may not come right out of anyone's mouth. Seems imperfect. Outside of Kohli's new world, the world he knows is full of achievements. A unique receipt is calling him by the hand in front too.

There is no one else. Where Kohli has stood for so long, his partner is just Ricky Ponting. On India's latest tour of Australia, Kohli got a chance to beat their former captain on home soil.

But the Indian captain returned to the country after playing the Adelaide Test to see the face of his first child. Had he been in Australia, he would have led India in the remaining three Tests. Didn't you get a century in the possible 8 innings in these three Tests? Nah, there is little time to ask this question about Kohli.

But what is the benefit of talking about what did not happen! It is better to look ahead. India will face England in the first match of the four-Test series in Chennai on Friday. It is normal for Kohli's bat to become wide in this Test at home.

Add to that the motivation to look at the child's face. Who will say that Vamika will not get a century from the first Test after becoming her father's 'father'? Once that happens, however, Kohli will set the record for the highest century in international cricket as a captain.

Ponting and Kohli now have 41 centuries as captains. But the quality and effectiveness of the two batting as captains are naturally varied and different.

There is no doubt in the recent past that captain Kohli will one day surpass this record. The question is, how high can the Indian captain lift this record?

In international cricket, Ponting has led Australia's golden team. From 2002 to 2012, Ponting led the "golden age" of Australian cricket.

At least the statistics will put him among the best captains in the history of cricket. He was the No. 3 seed in the Australian batting order. Captain Ponting has scored 41 centuries in 36 innings in 324 matches in three editions. He scored 15440 runs at an average of 45.54.

Kohli is a long way ahead here. From 2013 to 2020, Kohli has played 18 matches as India's captain in these six years. He averaged 63.18 in 217 innings with 41 centuries. Captain Kohli has scored 11,611 runs.

In other words, Kohli is ahead of Ponting in consistency. The 32-year-old batsman will surely lead India for a few more years. Then who knows where to stop this record!
