Dazzler

The first mascot for the ICC World Cup was introduced in the 2003 tournament. The World Cup was held in three African countries - South Africa, Kenya, and Zimbabwe. The mascot's name at that event was Dazzler. The zebra-shaped mascot was unveiled by South Africa in September 2002.

Mello

Another new mascot was also introduced in the 2007 edition. The World Cup is hosted by the West Indies, who have won the first two editions of the tournament. The mascot of that tournament was named Mello. It was a reflection of an animal resembling an orange dog. Australia won the title by defeating Sri Lanka by 53 runs.

Stumpy

The mascot was used on the biggest cricket stage ICC world cup for the third time in a row during the 2011 World Cup. The event was held in India, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. The mascot of the event was called Stumpy, which was a reflection of a young elephant. It was first shown on April 2, 2010, in Colombo, Sri-Lanka. However, its name was not fixed at that time.

In August of the same year, the name was decided through an online vote initiated by the ICC. The idea for the mascot was originally taken from the 1982 Asian Games mascot in New Delhi. The image of the elephant was used as the mascot of the event, which signified the enthusiasm of cricket. The 11th edition of the World Cup was jointly held in Australia and New Zealand, but there was no use of mascots. There was also no mascots in the 2019 Cricket World Cup in England and Wales.
