Good Morning to All, It's nice to take part in a contest which currently running on as Steem Cricket Expert week 2 so here is my entry of 4th match of that list where I already wrote of 1st Test - England v/s New Zealand so Today I would like to write a match preview of 3rd and final ODI between the Netherlands and Ireland where the match stands in a very crucial stage and its final match for them as both teams won each match so it will be great to see 3rd and Final ODI between them so let's start match preview.
Netherlands hosted three ODI match series with Ireland at home which is nice because the associate teams also playing good cricket and love to see some upcoming star from this kind of team who gets to play some big league like IPL, BigBash Leauge, T20 Blast, etc. The first ODI was won by Netherlands by just 1 run which is one kind of upset as Ireland is very strong compared to the Netherlands but this is what cricket and 2nd ODI won by Ireland which is a nice comeback by them and beat very comfortably.
Ireland Recent Form and News
Ireland Squad:- Andrew Balbirnie(C), Paul Stirling, Graeme McCarter, William Porterfield, Herry Tector, Kevin O'Brien, Simi Singh, Lorcan Tucker, Mark Adair, George Dockrell, Joshua Little, Andy McBrine, Barry McCarthy, Craig Young, Benjamin White
Ireland is back on track again after losing the first ODI by just one run. Ireland has good things in their favor are Paul Stirling and Andrew Balbirnie's form which is amazing, as well as their bowlers, also did nice bowling in both of the matches. The form of Simi Singh will be a little worry for them because he is a good all-rounder but not able to take many wickets although he scored runs. I am surprising with not included Mark Adair in any of the two matches as he is the best all-rounder according to me and like to play in the 3rd ODI if he is available because the experiment of sending George Dockrell up to batting order also not went well where also not get much bowling so likely to miss in third ODI.
Netherlands Recent Form and News
Netherlands Squad:- Pieter Seelaar(C). Stephan Myburgh, Bas de Leede, Saqib Zulfiqar, Musa Ahmed, Max O'Dowd, Fred Klassen, Ben Copper, Timm Van der Gugten, Logan van Beek, Scott Edwards, Tobias Visee, Philippe Boissevain, Vivian Kingma, Brandon Glover
Netherland's recent form is average as they level series of 2 ODI against Scotland as well as lost T20 Tri-series final against Nepal. Netherland also not able to cross even 200 runs in ODI cricket in the last 4 ODI which is not a good thing for any team because if not score at least 250 on ODI then the chances of winning the match are very less. Netherlands also playing without their key players like Van Der Marwe, Ten Doeschate, Shane Snater who playing in England's Domestic Cricket so it also affects their team. Netherlands still has a good player like Pieter Seelaar, Stephen Myburgh, Max O'Dowd, Scott Edwards in these teams but still not played their best so they totally depend on their bowler. There is one change likely in this team as Tobias Visee will get a place in place of Saqib Zulfiqar who not performed well. If They want to win this match then they have to give their best.
Head to Head Record
As both are Associate team, they did not play many matches head to head, they played 10 matches where Ireland is completely dominating with 8 win where Netherlands won 2 times only where once they won in this series 1st ODI. Netherlands also had a good team before but able to won only a few matches which shows Ireland is very strong against them.
Key Player to watch
Whenever Ireland Playing there is always to watch Paul Stirling because he is an excellent player is playing for a long time and in different franchise leagues where his performance is always notable so in this big final, the Ireland team responsibility on him a lot.
We can say Andrew Balbirnie is Pillar of Ireland team as best one down batsman for Ireland who likes to score runs and he is a fine stroke maker whom we like to see. Andrew Balbirnie is in good form and also he is captain of the team so there is also a responsibility on him too to take Ireland to win match and series.
In previous both matches, Joshua Little performance is unbelievable as took 7 wickets in just 2 ODI. Joshua Little is a nice young fast bowler who took 18 wickets in just 9 matches. Ireland wants him to continue his form in 3rd and final ODI too.
Pieter Seelaar is a very nice all-rounder of Netherlands and he also performed well before these series but he also a key player and like to see when Netherlands play matches. He is a captain and there will be pressure on him but he knows well how to handle it as he has good experience of international matches compared to other players.
Max O'Dowd is a wonderful player who yet not much experience in ODI cricket but his Average is 58.8 in 6 ODI so far he played. I have seen him in T20 and he already scored a century there. So far in this series, he also not seen his form and expecting it will come in a series decider.
Predication
In the first match, Netherlands won with help of their bowler not only bowling but also the batting department, Bowlers have scored runs. In the second ODI Ireland was completely in control of the match and as seeing a form of players and bowlers, Ireland is likely to win this third and final ODI because they have much experienced player as well as they are in a form where the Netherlands not able to cross 200 marks in last 4 ODIs so Ireland Chances are more but we can't say anything till the end of the match because its a game of cricket and anything happened in it. The match will start at 2:00 PM IST so it will be interesting to see who is going to win.
