Hello Steemians, greetings from India. Hope you guys are doing fine.

Here's my SUPER 11 for Week 1 of the Steem Fantasy Cricket League: Season 2.

I have picked a side which I think looks pretty solid on paper. The team consists of 2 keepers, 3 batters, 3 all rounders and 3 bowlers. I picked this team in one sitting after brainstorming at a stretch for nearly 2 hours and I think my contest entry abides by all the aforementioned rules.

I decided to pick two keepers and 3 batsmen to balance the equation because I could not find a 4th batsman as per my requirements. Dhawan, Nitish Rana and Du Plessis have come in handy for their respective teams. Similarly, I saw no reason why I should drop Sanju Samson and Jonny Bairstow ahead of other keeper batsman.

Andre Russell had a mixed IPL season in 2020 but has come good so far this time around. Meanwhile Glenn Maxwell comes good for Kohli-led RCB side when it comes to power hitting. For CSK, English all-rounder Moeen Ali has lightened the burden on Dhoni's shoulder as he has been impressive all the way starting from England's tour to India just prior to the IPL.

Australian quickie Pat Cummins needs no introduction to cricket fans. He too has come good for KKR in the initial days so far. The Indian uncapped duo of Harshal Patel and Avesh Khan has impressed me the most among the bowlers. So after a lot of permutation and combination, I decided to drop some of the best bowlers of the game to make space for these two quicks.

Considering the form, Shikhar Dhawan is my captain while Andre Russell will be his deputy.

So that's how I line my team up for the matches from April 24-29, 2021.
