My Favorite Franchise Cricket Team | MI

In this era, Franchise Cricket has come up a long way touching another dimension. Personally, I énjoyed good old classic Test and ODI s more than that. But I do watch these leagues for their thrill, entertainment and competition. Now there are a number of tournaments around the world like IPL, BBL, CPL, PSL, CSA, T10 leagues etc.

IPL has become very popular all around the world in no time. So, among all the franchise leagues here is my favourite one. It’s Mumbai Indians. 😍😍 Not only in 2020, but from the beginning in 2008.

General Details

It was founded on 24 January 2008. And now owned by, Mukesh Ambani (Reliance Industries). Rohit Sharma is the captain and Mahela Jayawardene is the current head coach of the team!!! According to 2019 stats, Mi's values is around $115 million which is the highest by any team...

Reasons to like MI

Well, actually there are no reasons to dislike it. Mi has set such kind of standards around the world.

• Outstanding legacy for more than 10 years

MI can be regarded as the most successful IPL team along with CSK. They have been 5 times champions in IPL and two times in CLT20. They could lift the trophy consecutively in 2019 and 2020. Out of 204 matches in all the seasons they have won 120 matches so far.

And also, they include some of my favourite legend in the MI team. Sanath Jayasuriya, game-changer of ODI cricket, Sachin, little master, Yuvi, Shaun Pollock, Ponting, Malinga etc.

• Showing best interest in Sri Lankan players

Sanath Jayasuriya, one of the greatest player of Sri Lanka, played for them for 3 years. And he is the first IPL Centurian for MI.

And then Lasith Malinga joined the team from 2009. He consistently showed his value to the MI team as well as the Sri Lankan team. His toe crushers were able to make the world-class players on their knees. In 2019, his magical last over guided MI to become the champions. Not only the Sri Lankans, but Indians also love him. The MI team and IPL platform really helped him a lot for his international carrier. Now he has been unofficially retired from international cricket.

And also Mahela is their head coach , for 4 years now. He was truly a great player, mastermind and a tactician. He guided the team to win the trophy for 3 out of his 4 years. They have put a great faith in him, which he delivers.

• Their team strength

They have a great side in every department. Through the years they could maintain that balance. Rohit, De Cock, SKY, Ishan Kishan give a destructive batting line-up. Pollard, Pandya brothers are top class all-rounders. Bumrah, Boult strenghten their bowling attack.

They have raised little kids in to monsters. That's fascinating. Even Bumrah, Hardik joined with base prices and now permanent members in Indian team. And lately SKY and Kishan got the national team appearneces. They could find rare diamonds to their team.

• Game changing ability

History has proven the potential of each and every player of MI team. Anyone can single handedly, change the game. Recently we showed how Pollard did that. And we have seen how Sharma, Pandya, Bumrah, SKY, Kishan has done that.

So, this year also waiting for their victory. But unfortunately session had to cancelled due to COVID 19 pandemic. So, let's see in the next episode!!!
