IPL has been at the climax in these days more than ever. We witnessed thrilling matches, few super overs, great batting, bowling and fielding experiences and few turnovers of the results in the last moment etc.
So, meanwhile @world-of-cricket has come with a nice contest to see the analysis mind of a cricket lover.
So, let’s move to my 1st review of the match between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Review 01 | RR vs SRH (22/10/2020)
So, it’s the 40th match in IPL 2020 at the Dubai International Stadium in the UAE.
For both teams it’s not the best season so far. Royals have faced 10 matches and was able to win only 4 matches (8 points), resulting to be the 6th at the point table.
And on the other hand, out of 9 matches Sunrisers faced they were able to win 3 (6 points), becoming the 7th in the table.
But still booth teams have the chance to enter the qualifiers hopefully, if they can do a huge difference in the upcoming matches. So, this match will be crucial for both teams to stay in the tournament.
Team Form and News
It’s between 2 outstanding Aussie players who captained the teams. Steven Smith and David Warner.
Both teams have the best overseas players who can do a series damage.
Smith, Butler, Ben Stokes, Archer for RR.
Warner, Bairstow, Williamson and Rashid Khan for SRH.
Probable XI - RR
Ben Stokes, Robin Uthappa, Sanju Samson (wk), Steven Smith (C), Jos Butler, Rahul Tevatia, Riyan Parag, Jofra Archer, Shreyas Gopal, Ankit Rajpoot, Karthik Thyagi
Probable XI - SRH
Kane Williamson, David Warner (C), Jonny Bairstaw (wk), Manish Pandey, Priyam Garg, Vijay Shankar, Abdul Samad, Rashid Khan, Sandeep Sarma, Kallel Ahmed, T Natrajan
But in the last match between KKR, Kane Williomson was injured. Sometimes he may not be in the squad, which will be a great loss for SRH. Then for the overseas spot Nabi/ Holder has great chance.
Key Players
The Player Performance so far - RR
Most Runs | Most Wickets |
---|---|
Jos Butler (262) | Jofra Archer (13) |
Steve Smith (246) | Rahul Tewatia (7) |
Sanju Samson (236) | Shreyas Gopal (7) |
Archer is the best gun for RR. Archer can provide the early breakthroughs and he is very effective at the death overs. He has the best economy rate in powerplay (4.66). And also, he is handy with the bat too.
Jos Butler is the key batsmen here. After he moved down the order, he showed his best potential.
The Player Performance so far - SRH
Most Runs | Most Wickets |
---|---|
David Warner (331) | Rashid Khan (11) |
Jonny Bairstow (316) | T. Natarajan (11) |
Manish Panday (212) | Khaleel Ahmed (8) |
So, as I mentioned earlier SRH have the best overseas top order batsmen. Out of them Kane will be a key player. If he opens the inning today, he can go to a quick start, and also, he is good against Archer also. But he is not sure today.
Rashid Khan is their key bowler. He continuously provides wickets. And he has economy rate of below 6.
Head to Head
This two teams have faced 12 times in the IPL so far. Out of them,
RR – 06 wins
SRH – 06 wins
The last match between these two was on October 11 in this season, in Dubai. SRH scored 158/4 in their 20 overs. In the chase the top order of RR collapsed early. But, the heroic 85-run partnership for the sixth wicket between young Riyan Parag (42) and Rahul Tewatia(45) sealed match for RR.
Match Prediction
This is a very tough match to predict. Because both teams are equally same in almost all the conditions.
We will see a great battle between Archer and top 3 batsmen of SRH. Other than those 3 we didn’t see a great performance from other batsmen.
With the arrival of Ben Stokes RR has strengthen their team. But Stokes, Smith, Uthappa, Sanju Samson has to find their form today.
So, with overall analysis I think Rajasthan Royals is little bit ahead of winning the match today.
So, let’s see what will happen. Good luck for the both teams.
Best Regards!
