Delhi Capitals franchise Delhi Iyer ruled out of ODI against England with shoulder injury. Rishabh Pant, Ajinkya Rahane, Steven Smith, Shikhar Dhawan and R Ashwin among candidates for captaincy. Iyer dislocated his left shoulder while trying to stop a boundary from Jonny Bairstow. Sam Billings also injured in same game, sprained his collarbone in first ODI in Pune. Delhi have not formally met with promoters Kiran Kumar Granthi and Parth Jindal to discuss captaincy issue. The two are also likely to consult coach Ricky Ponting before making the final decision. The thinking, it appears, is that there should be proper chemistry between the coach and the new captain. The IPL season starts in just over a month's time, with Delhi taking on Kolkata in the final on May 18. The Delhi franchise take on Khel equation in the IPL final on June 2.
