  • Lumley Castle Hotel, Chester-Le-Street, Durham:

In 2005 the season of summer Australia toured England for The Ashes. The 1-1 result's known to everyone, and therefore the videos have gone viral on YouTube. The heartbreak, the incessant pressure, the intensity on and off the sector and England’s memorable Ashes win and Australia’s traumatic loss are re-lived in colleges and offices and pubs. The image of a heartbroken Brett Lee bending over his bat and Andrew Flintoff putting a reassuring hand of comfort on the former’s shoulder has probably been the foremost highlighted picture of The Ashes and spirit of cricket of that times. However, there was more interesting Ashes game in 2005 than this. Somewhere around June 22, Shane Watson was scared by ghosts in an ancient hotel. Even Australia’s media manager wasn't left behind in being spooked. “I saw ghosts. I swear I'm telling the reality ,” she admitted. Watson got so terrified fear after the incident that he slept in Lee’s room. consistent with locals, the hotel is supposedly haunted by a 14th century aristocrat who was murdered by Catholic priests. Thats not the ending the woman of the castle (now a hotel) named Lily Lumley was murdered by two priests as she refused to practise as well as not to follow the Catholic Church .

And this is not the ending,Through these years, scared have cricketers stayed there. And when West Indies toured England in 2000,
three West Indian cricketers were apparently scared. They verified and moved elsewhere. The then captain Jimmy Adams was one among them. Langham Hotel, London

There is more to Langham Hotel more than another London hotel. Celebrity sightings are normal. From Lady Gaga to cricketers, Langham hotel is that the first choice for several . However, in 2014, Stuart Broad complained and requested that his rooms be shifted once they were staying at the hotel. Not only Broad but aslo Ben Stokes and even the then Indian Test captain M.S Dhoni was reported of getting scared at the hotel.

"During the Sri Lanka Test I had to maneuver rooms. it had been so hot within the room I just couldn't sleep. All of a sudden the taps within the bathroom came on for no reason. I turned the lights on and therefore the taps turned themselves off. Then once I turned the lights off again the taps came on. it had been very weird. It really freaked me out. I ended up asking to maneuver rooms. Bealey [Broad's girlfriend] was pretty spooked, too, and that i know Moeen Ali's spouse won't stay there because she's so scared of the ghosts. I've slept okay during the present Test (against India) but the Sri Lanka Test (last month) wasn't great. One night I awakened within the middle of the night, around 1.30 a.m. and that i was convinced there was a presence within the room. it had been the weirdest feeling. Ben Stokes has had some problems sleeping also . He's on the third floor, which is where tons of the problems are. I'm telling you, something weird goes on," Broad was quoted saying by English newspapers.
